Successful Introduction of the digital Workplace thanks to User Adoption for 1'200 Employees
KIBAG is a leading Swiss company in the construction materials and construction sector. Founded in 1926, the company today employs around 2‘000 people and owns 14 gravel plants, 3 quarries and 25 concrete plants and 17 construction companies in the road building and civil engineering sectors. Several recycling and disposal companies as well as service providers in the leisure sector complete the picture.
Initial Situation
For KIBAG it was time to replace the existing document repository based on SharePoint On-premise 2013 with a modern cloud application to meet the requirements of the rapidly advancing digitalization of the construction industry. With the cloud migration and the introduction of the digital workplace, a state-of-the-art collaboration platform for teamwork and project management was created based on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Solution
The introduction of the cloud-based document repository and the planning of the technical data migration was coordinated by an experienced project manager from KIBAG and the isolutions team in order to carry out its migration in a timely and secure manner. Change management was also an integral and essential part of the
project. isolutions supported the development and implementation of targeted communication and training measures to familiarize the more than 1‘200 users in dealing with the new digital working environment. Only with targeted trainings the individually solutions for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Azure functions – for connecting peripheral systems – can be used profitably by employees.
